About

Sunlit Chemical, a leading semiconductor chemical supplier based in Taiwan, celebrated the grand opening of its first U.S. manufacturing facility – Sunlit Arizona, LLC – in Phoenix, AZ., on Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2024. The first phase of the facility represents a $100-million investment and will play a critical role in supporting Arizona’s semiconductor industry.

Spanning 900,000 square feet on 27 acres, the facility is designed with vertical integration to streamline production processes and will produce high-purity hydrofluoric acid and other essential industrial chemicals for semiconductor manufacturing.

About

As Sunlit’s first foray out of Asia, the opening signifies the completion of the first phase of development, which will employ more than 50 workers in the beginning of 2025 as the facility begins to produce critical materials for U.S. semiconductor manufacturers.

Construction of Phase II, which will focus on raw material purification, is expected to be begin in 2025. Sunlit’s investment is poised to create up to 100 local jobs, enhance the regional supply chain and contribute to the state’s growing role as a hub for advanced manufacturing.

Once fully operational, the facility will flex Arizona’s strength as a national leader and major employer in semiconductor manufacturing, bringing significant economic benefits to the state, while further integrating it into the global semiconductor ecosystem.
